Who's getting the HTC Touch Diamond or Pro? - Blu-ray Forum

The question is simple, how many of you are looking to get either the HTC Touch Diamond or Touch Pro once they hit the US marker this Fall? I for one cannot wait to get my hands on one of them without having to pay $700-1000 for either of them in their current, unlocked state. They're sleek looking and sexy as hell. Any thoughts?

Looks nice but what is it exactly ? some kind of electronic agenda or PDF or something ?

Meh....that Windows logo is a huge setback, IMO....

I was gonna get the Diamond but Telus murdered it. They took away the stealth bomber style back

I have yet to find anything that comes close to my iPhone. That being said, I like HTC's phones, however their use of Windows Mobile has always been the thing that would make me never buy one. If the Shadow didn't use Windows Mobile I probably would've had one long ago. The Dream (supposedly what it'll be called) coming out later this year with Google's Android platform intrigues me though.

Ugh... I had plans on getting this until I saw the windows logo. I've had 2 Windows Mobile phones (HTC XV6700 and currently the Samsung SCH-I760), and I'm pretty much done with WM. I use the calendar and notifications heavily for work, and with both phones I've had to do hard resets about every 4 months after all the notification crap that gets out of sync and clogs the registry.

I will definitely be getting the Diamond when it's released for Verizon. I currently have the xv6900 and can't be happier.

Not sure what I am going to get, right now its a toss up between the Diamond, Pro, and the IPHONE...The major reason I am looking into the Iphone is due to the FAN aco**** I can get through my job. The Diamond and the Pro are coming to Sprint (probably 1st in the US) and thats my current carrier, so really not sure. I think I am going to wait until Oct, when all 3 should be released in the US and see whats what then....

From early reports though the Diamond and Pro are steps above former WM phones...A lot of good info over at xda and howardforums....

I love HTC phones, almost as good as the iPhone, IMO.

A buddy of mine picked up an unlocked Touch Diamond from a local store here in Miami a couple of months ago for about $850, so I've had first hand experience with it already. I think its the best phone I've ever seen or used. I just don't want to have to pay such an astronomical price for a cell phone, so that's why I'm dying for a nation-wide rollout through one of the big providers. Preferrably not through Sprint or Verizon though.
