Default Best car chase

Yo,

After seeing deathproof (from Quentin Tarantino) last week, I got a sudden interest in car chase. I did my research and found that many of the classic car chase in history came from the seventies. (Dirty marry crazy Larry, Gone in sixty seconds, the french connection, ect...)

Some of these movies featured some great car and pursuit with a lot of realism. One of the explanation of this is that these were real car hitting real car, no CGI or after effects. But what they got in realism they lack in pace and spectacular moment. Some of today's movies got awesome car chase too that can't go unnoticed like the one between Nic Cage and Sean Connery in The Rock

So I wondered, what do you think is the best pursuit in history. Are you more of the seventies style with american muscle car chasing each other of are you more interested in exotic car avoiding explosions after explosions.

Ps. Sorry if my English is not perfect, it's not my first language
