Default Costco price drop guarantee

I know Costco has a 90 day return policy for their Tv's. But what I need to know is do they have a price drop guarantee??? the LCD I just bought dropped 10% since I bought it less than a month ago and I would rather just go in there (or email cs with a receipt #) than have to pack up the LCD and return then rebuy.

im not positive but if its within the 90 day period that you can return it, they will do the price drop. I believe they would because it would be just as much of a hassel for them if you returned it and bought another one.

Take your receipt in and give it a shot. If they say no, ask for a manager and argue the fact that they can issue you a refund of the difference now, or you will return the set and re-buy a brand new one, thus leaving them stuck with a return that they'll have to sell-off to wherever they send electronic returns to. Or they'll sell it at a loss as an open box item. Either way, it's in their best interest to refund you the price difference. I've shopped at Costco for >15 years, but I don't think I've ever had to do the price difference thing. I have, though, returned a 10 year old suitcase that got too beat-up to use anymore...and they took it back!

Take your receipt to the membership counter! If it's within 30 days and sometimes longer (depending on the clerk), they will give you a refund for the difference.

Another thing, on big ticket items they always check your account history. If your a member in good standing (i.e...buy a lot of stuff from there) and they don't give it to you...call a Duty Manager. 99 out of 100 times, this will result in getting what you want.

More often than not you have to return your item and repurchase another 1.
Costco is a great company but this part of there policy's could use some work.
Also if you find it at another Costco cheaper you better buy it there because they will not price match another store.
But always talk to a Mgr. 1st.

I had this very situation. I was 60 days into my purchase---they first told me no that the price guarantee is only for 30 days because electronics
"change value so quickly with new technology". I got a manager involved and told them that it was ridiculous to have a 90 day return policy but only a 30 day price guarantee-- they should have the same amount of time on both.
They eventually gave in but not without a stronger than expected fight from me. Hold your ground and have them do it...

Why would you have to pack up and return the first TV? Just buy a new one at the cheaper price. Then while you are at the store go directly to the CS desk and return the new TV with your old receipt. The only time this won't work is if you buy something where they scan the serial number (like PS3s.)

The other benefit of this is you get another 90-day window for returns / price protection.

I have had to pack up multiple items because of them not wanting to price match. It's a Royal pain in the @ss. I did have to return a vending machine just the other day I couldn't find my e-mail receipt and I had no problem $2700.00. They took a little while but came up with my cash. Another time I tried to return a 20.00 blu ray and they told me to get lost, even though it had a Costco sticker on it.

By the way does anyone know Sam's Club return policy on there TV's?

They don't scan serial numbers on anything!!! Computers, PS3, Xbox. this has been my experience with them.
