If they don't get it in gear this year I won't watch. Lex is gone, Lana is (maybe) gone, and they are going to introduce some real bad guys?

I've stopped watching this show on tv because my CW station has a week feed and no hd station so I'll be catching season 7 on blu-ray.

Not as good as seaon 6, but it has it's moment. Definitely better than 4, which I think all fans can agree was a bit of a low point.

I still watch the show except for the eps after the writer strike but I was honestly tired of the Lana and Clerk crap after Season 5.

Looking forward to picking up Season 7 to find out what happens after the writer stirke.

I think the writers strike affected the flow of Season 7 just like it did many other shows such as, Heroes Season 2, Terminator: The Sarah Connors Chronicle and one of my favorites which was cancelled...Journey Man.

That being said, season 6 was my favorite so far but I will be picking up season 7.

Honestly, I think Smallville was the show least effected by the strike. They film somewhere up in remote part of Canada, from what I remember, and have heard that the film WAY ahead of schedule, for various reasons. When the strike happened, they had a handful of shows filmed, which gave them more time to finish up the season when the strike ended. Unlike many shows, Smallville actually ended with a full 20-21 episode season.

If anything, I think the 'break' caused by the strike only served to throw things off a bit and brought about the 8th season. I think they didnt want to end the show with such a huge break in the middle of the season. The time off only gave them ammo to find ideas to stretch into an 8th season.

Actually, I really liked Season 4. I thought it gave Lana a different character to deal with rather than the petulant woman-child that her role had been up till then. I know the season didn't totally fit into the Superman myth, but I was entertained from episode to episode. It was a break from the standard meteor freak gets a new power, Clark has to stop him/her spiel, and gave a set of real enemies to face, be it the Teagues, or Lana-as-a-witch. It also introduced Lois, which I didn't think was a bad cast upgrade, and it lost Pete, who had pretty much ended his role's usefulness.

For me season seven was redeemed by one character, Supergirl...err Kara. I wish Green Arrow had more of an active role in the show.

Yeah, GA was a great addition to season 6. His appearances in 7 were good, but too few. I'm definitely happy he's joining the cast again in season 8.

Default Smallville Season 7 - September 9

Season 7 is all about Super Girl on Smallville!!!! Gosh, I loved this past season so much because of a new cast member, Super Girl. She was hot too, so that helped a lot as well! Smallville just has a beautiful line up of casting. I just saw the trailer of the Season 7 and it looks GREAT!!! Check it out!!
