Default Headphones: Sennheiser HD650 or Denon AH-D2000

I have the Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver and the Sennheiser HD595 headphones. I'm going to upgrade the HD595s to the Sennheiser HD650 or the Denon AH-D2000. I will be connection one of them to my headphone jack on my receiver. Which of those 2 headphones do you recommend without the need of a headphone amp?

Given their acknowledged expertise in the area, I'd say go for the Sennheiser HD650s. Cardas also make a replacement cable for them which might be worth checking out.

I just ordered the Denon AH-D2000 over at www.headphone.com. They recommended them to me because my receiver can drive them easily, they said that the sound on Denons are comparable to the Sennheiser HD650 and superior to my HD595s, but the bass is better on the Denons (important to me), I don't have a desire to add a headphone amp as of yet, and they said that the D2000s are very comfortable to wear (very important to me). Now I will be ebaying HD595s.
