Just saw this in my new newsletter from Sony Pictures.

Registering your Blu-ray Disc™ is as simple as 1-2-3!

""1. First make certain that you have a BD–Live enabled Blu-ray Disc. You will find the BD-Live logo on the back of your BD movie package.

2. Simply insert your BD-Live enabled disc into your network-connected Blu-ray Player and select BD-Live from the Special Features section on the Menu. Once on the BD-Live screen you will see instructions in the My Profile section on how to create a User Profile, just click on the link and follow the on-screen guides.

3. Once you have a User Profile, then click on Register your Disc to enter your title and you will automatically earn 100 points. Enter as many discs as you wish and quickly add up your points towards great rewards. Then check out our on-line catalog and redeem your points.""

I wonder if there is a way to still do this if your BD player isn't umm networkable?

So it's not all blurays though. Only BD-live ones? I just took a quick glance over my collection and out of 150+ blurays I only seen like 2-4 with BD live logo on the back.

Thanks for posting this, OP. This is pretty neat.

It's unfortunate that things like this generally don't last because of people "cheating" the system.... Let's hope they have preventive measures against the cheats.

2 questions:

1. Do the Discs have to be BD-Live (since BD-Live is only recent releases)?

2. Do sets count as multiple movies?
(examples: the Spiderman Blu-ray collection, and the Die-Hard Blu-ray Collection)

Die Hard wouldn't count as that's not a Sony title. This is only for Sony BD-Live enabled titles.
