Default Sierra Games?

Hey guys, think i put this post in the correct place but anyways, i was curious if there are any fans of the old Sierra style games (Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest, Kings Quest...) and was wondering if anyone knows of any newer games that play this way? I used to love these games cuz they would make you think about what to do next but havent seen anything like them in years, with the exception of Syberia, which is somewhat of the same style. If you can think of any, shoot em out..

I used to love these games. As Windows became more advanced my old versions of the games would not run on my computer. I was very happy when Sierra finally decided to re-release these games for Windows XP. Kings Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, and Police Quest collections are all available on Amazon for cheap. I am still waiting for the Quest for Glory collection but am afraid it will never come. Space Quest with Roger Wilco was by far the best series in my opinion.

Sierra has put out some really kick @ss games over the years! And you're right...a lot of their earlier games were awesome! I hadn't thought about it until now, but I do miss a lot of their old games.

I had so many of those games. They were fun and taught me what a Uvula was. How frustrating to have to know the correct word to tickle in the whales mouth of one of the old Kings Quest Games...

Though pretty short, you can play one at www.homestarrunner.com. Go to the games section and it is called Peasants Quest.

The games used to be called Heroes' Quest but the name switched to Quest For Glory I think after the second game.

Those Police Quest games drove me frickin' nuts. Pick up the red apple from the drawer in the desk and save it in your briefcase to bribe the little girl in the left alley with the peg-leg, so she can give you the name of the barking brown dog who's owner you need to talk to in order to get the new suspect's temporary address, where you look under the soiled couch cushion for the piece of paper that states the number where... etc etc etc... what a pain in the arse!!!!!!!!!! Miss one step in the idiotic chain and you might as well start back at the beginning and try again. Pick up the syringe from the dumpster and give it to the evidence attendant as exhibit A, then twirl around three times in a fairy dress and click your heels together four times - not three...

oh man! police quest was awesome! I owned every single one of them! PQ 2 was the best in my opinion! Kings quest was great as well! They just don;t make games like they used to! I wish they would make more games like this today!

Me too! Im surprised nobody has tried to make one. The only one that i have found over the years was Syberia which was made for pc and xbox. It was ok but no kings quest...

i HATED eMPIRE eARTH..no, it is not like the other ones...

its like age of empires.

BTW...

here are some remakes of old Sierra games..
Quest for Glory II
Kings Quest 3

ADGI also remade Kings Quest I and II, but, they took them down for an update...keep an eye open for those...they are great!!

also, IA is remaking Space Quest I right now...not sure about release date, though...they are taking a break and playing through Quest for Glory 2, right now...

I haven't played it but I thought the CSI game for PS3 was in similar style as Police Quest? Could be wrong...
