Default new speakers

Alright I have had my setup for like 1 month now and I am kind of looking for new speakers. I have the polk rm6750 but i feel the system is to weak or maybe I need to just upgrade my tower speakers because I have 5 speakers and they are like 10feet away from me. Do you guys think I should keep my system, buy two more polk satelite and make 7.1, or upgrade my tower speakers? I only have a $200 budget. Thanks

To be honest, on a $200 budget, you are better saving up your money so you can put more money into better speakers.

Agreed. Live with the one's you've got now and upgrade when you can do it properly.

agreed, and if you are just a CC employee, try branching out to other "higher end" stores for a sales job because you will have better access, and great prices to better speakers.

I have the same speaker system and feel the exact same. I do love the speakers, but I feel like I need more power to really enjoy my Blu-Rays!

I plan to upgrade my system piece by piece. I am currently looking to replace the front two speakers with Polk Monitor 50s. (Link: http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Mon...1089071&sr=8-1) They seem like a fairly good upgrade for your (and my) budget. If you check Polk's eBay store or Amazon (during a sale), you can find them for your $200 budget. Two Monitor 50s sold today on eBay (from Polk Audio) for $212 (including shipping).

Fluance makes good speakers and sells them factory direct at very low prices.

You can't get a better price for speakers of this quality. They also sell good subwoofers, center channel, and surround speakers.

Another company with good bargain speakers is Premier Acoustics.

Forget about list prices. They are significantly cheaper at Amazon marketplace.

I have sony speakers and I really don't care what anyone else thinks, but I love them, they are great sounding, even my dad who has Bowers & Wilkins speakers, thinks my speakers sound really good.

You could prolly use your CC discount to pick these up cheaply and quickly. Although I may recommed you get the B3000 speakers for rears if you have the room to put them. Put on a different shirt and go to BB and you can listen to them in there little demo room, they may even have your receiver in there so you can listen to your receiver play of the speakers you want to audition, thats what I did, and then I went back to CC and had you guys price match everything with the extra 10%, I walked out with an entire 5.1 system for about $350.(everything was bought the day after thanksgiving too, so it was all on sale and then the price matching + 10%)

If you have just $200 to spend, I would just hold tight and save your money for more substantial speakers. You won't find any benefit from buying a couple of speakers to make yours a 7.1 channel system.

Save your money, and in the meantime, audition plenty of speakers at specialty shops. Besides the great suggestions above, I would also suggest checking out Monitor Audio's Bronze speaker line. They are very reasonably priced, have great fit and finish, and look and sound far better than the price.

Good luck.
