Default Multichannel vs Dolby Digital....

I hope I posted this on the right forum, can someone help me understand this.

I have a plasytation 3 hooked up an onkyo tx-805.

When I play Rock Band, the receiver dsiplays Dolby Digital and sounds great.

When playing Guitar Hero 3: Areosmith the onkyo receiver displays multichannel, and doesnt sound NEARLY as good as Rock Band.

Both games do support Dolby Digital. The only difference is that in Rock Band you can select Dobly Digital through an options menu.

I don't understand why I don't get the same sound in Guitar Hero Areosmith. Again, maye I should be posting this in the ps3 forum, if so I aploogize.

If they both support Dolby Digital why would they sound different?

It wouldn't do you any good unless you are comparing the same game.

Yeah but he's saying they both support Dolby Digital, but Guitar Hero is showing up on his receiver differently than Rock Band does.
