Default I. Robot = expensive

Why the hail is I. Robot always so expensive? I've been looking all over the place and it's never below $20.00. Could someone please explain why?

It's just the way Fox prices their discs. You'll notice many of their titles fall into the same pricing structure. It'll come down, eventually.

I, Robot= Fox=Expensive, to use your formula.

Check out ebay, half.com or Amazon resellers.

I got it at Target for 19.99 a couple months ago. You just have to shop around.

I don't mind I, Robot--because it's a good looking disc but man, paying $27 for Predator and Robocop is just....not right.

Sigh...with all these great prices on tower.com, I was hoping I would find I. Robot for $13.99

Got mine for $20 at Target too.

At that time, Circuit City also had it for $20 along with other Fox titles (Fantastic Four, ID4, Ice Age.)

Just have to wait for the eventual sale or check wholesale clubs. My Bj's has some Blu Rays at lowered prices,..maybe cosco would work too.

Agree... had been in my wish list on Amazon for months since pre-release.

I used the Buy 2 get 1 offer yesterday and picked up, Patton, I, Robot and Kingdom of Heaven for roughly $18 and change each.

Was a good deal for me since I have the same gripe on Patton being so expensive and never is on sale.

That price is the norm for most Fox BDs. I got my copy for $25.69 from Amazon, with free shipping. Pretty steep for not being a new release!

I've gotten a lot of great deals on other BDs on Amazon though, so it averages out quite nicely.

Agreed. I wish we only had to pay the equivalent of $20 here in the UK. About the cheapest on the internet here is around £18 (roughly $36). And as Fox don't tend to do region free we can't get the cheaper import, we have to either stump up for the inflated price or don't buy it. Got my copy from Play.com when they had one of their 3 for 2 offers so cost me roughly £12 ($24 or so), and I consider that cheap for a Fox title!!

Whereas I just pre-ordered the new ELP SACD from Amazon UK for £15.84 shipped to So Cal (~$27.74 at today's exchange rates) vs. $43+ (with free shipping) from Amazon US. Go figure.

Shop around and look into Ebay and Amazon Markets. I actually got mine brand new from some one on amazon for about $16 with shipping. Now I just need to find a deal like that for "Man on Fire" cause there is no way in hell I'll pay $28 dollars for an upgrade.

You can find it onsale every now and then, I believe I paid 14.99 or something like that for my copy, but I had to wait a few months for it to finally go onsale. Check your local paper, frys.com, family video, tower, or try to find it used
