No HDMI??

Don't know much about this stuff, but yesterday the Geeks from Best Buy set up my new system part of which is a Pioneer BDP 51FD and I am disappointed to see that it does not have an HDMI connection??? Why NOT??

Anyone know what's up here?

Lost a picture too after they left and 3.5 hours later I said the devil with it;I'm going to bed. Got a nice plasma and cheap (HA!) Klipsch speakers that hum like crazy so there's lots to do today.

There is an HDMI terminal on this player, it is in a central position (to the left of the component terminals) almost at the base of the rear of the unit.

If you are going to Radio Shack for an HDMI cable, be prepared to pay a high price. Wal-mart or if Frys is local in your area has better prices.

That hum on your speaker sound like you have an open ground/loop issue on the speaker.
Check the wires from the Speaker (+) & (-) and make sure they are going to the corresponding connection on the AV receiver or your TV if applicable.
If the Geek squad connected RCA audio cables between your TV and AV receiver, there might be a bad connection as well that can cause hum.
