Default I think Rock Band killed my HDMI cable/port

I just picked up Rock Band for my PS3 last night (yeah i'm a little behind the times ) and played it for about 4-5 hours. Now today I can't get video or audio from my PS3 using my HDMI cable. I've tried hard-booting my PS3, Reseating the cables, a holding the power button so it would reset to its proper settings.
Anyone else have similar problems?

EDIT: forgot to mention it's still under a PSP plan from Futureshop until Jan 2009. I'm a little apprehensive since it is a 60gb model and backwards compatibility is nice to have...although i haven't played a ps2 game for over a year.

Dude... I don't think that the game would have done anything to your cable. If anything, your PS3 was just due to have a technical malfunction.

My 60GB launch unit experienced a similar situation, but gradually instead of all at once. Eventually, one day, it did exactly what yours did. If you want to keep the 60GB model, your only option is to send it to Sony for repair. Going back to FutureShop will only yield you a completely different system based on what they have in stock... which is not going to be the 60GB model. If you have purchased it within the last 12 months and still have the receipt, Sony will cover the repairs. If you purchased prior to 12 months ago you will have to pay $180 (or something like that) to have it fixed. Also note that when you get it back a lot of saved information gets lost... even through the system backup utility process because of copyright details.

just fixed it, turned the power bar off/on and its working now. I bet the TV hdmi ports needed a reboot. its not a very expensive name-brand tv (westinghouse).
also, with my warranty, thats why i was apprehensive to exchange it, i like the backwards compatibility with my 60gb and didn't really want to get it downgraded to a 80gb.

Good to know that fixed it man. I ran into that situation with my old 27" Westinghouse LCD where I lost the PS3 video signal when I switched out the PS3's HDMI-to-DVI cable that was plugged to a DVI cable running to my Macintosh laptop. To make a story short, plugged the PS3 back in and no video but could hear the PS3 bootup tune (since the audio was running via TOSLink). Turned out I had to physically unplug the LCD from the wall and plug it back in to "reboot" the LCD. Strange that Rock Band would do that to your TV tho'
