Any new info regarding Gran Turismo 5 development???

It seems that Polyphony has been very quiet lately regarding the development of GT5. Most of the news/updates have been related to Prologue. Well what about the actual sequel? Have they given any clue as to when we can expect this to drop?

Also, is prologue basically what GT5 is going to look and play like? I'm just wondering if 5 is using like a whole new engine compared to Prologue or if will be the same thing with more cars and tracks.

They don't expect to release until late 2009, 2010.

They're not going to stop improving their game engine so expect improvements across the board. You know how much they pack into a full GT so creating that wealth of content at the quality level they've set for PS3 is taking a long time.

2010?!? Good-freakin'-Lord!! I have to say that I have really been annoyed at how slow development has become on titles this generation! When did GT4 come out? Wasn't it in 05? If GT5 doesn't drop until 2010 that would be a FIVE year development window. That's ridiculous! My god, between GT5, Killzone 2, Final Fantasy, Home, etc. This generation is killing me! Forza 2 AND 3 will have come out on Xbox 360 by the time the new GT comes out.

What makes me so annoyed with Gran Turismo is that the wait for it would be much easier if they would just update Prologue a little more. I was expecting much more and quicker updates to Prologue than what we've been getting. I thought by now we would've at least gotten another track or a few more cars. But so far the updates have been limited to bug fixes, and a new intro, and a few new movies you must PAY for to download. There have been no substantial updates to the game since it came out.
