Anybody Notice Big Boss/Vader Connections

Theres Spoilers below

It just hit me that Big Boss and Darth Vader share a ton of similarities, I think its too coincidental to be accidental.

- When the series starts, both are young Protaganoists
- Both become the "greatest" at their job. Big Boss being a solider, Anakin being a Jedi
- Both have sons they don't know about until later
- Both get immolated halfway through the series
- Both kill their mentors
- Both are kept on life supporting systems for a long time
- Both appear to go evil halfway through the series
- Both reconcile with their sons at the end of the series
- Both kill the true bad guy (Palpatine and Zero) in the final moments of the series
- Both appear to come back to the good side at the very end of the series
- Both die in their sons arms
