Sleeping Beauty Performing System Update for 1 hour now

Just popped Sleeping Beauty into my Sony DBP-BX1 (Costco version of the S350) and it said I needed a required system update (for the BD-Live stuff I believe, even though I had upgraded the player & used BD-Live from the Transformers disc.) I accepted all of the prompts and the progress bar moved 80-85% in the first few minutes, then the bar stopped. The music keeps playing, but the progress bar hasn't moved in over an hour! And of course it say's "Do not turn off your player while this update is in progress". This display on the front of the player just hit 1 hour 8 minutes.
Has anyone else run into this, and do you think it's safe to hit stop, or main menu or something??

Any input would be appreciated.
