Default EXCEL Question?? Help??

I have about 100 sheets with data on it and I need to condense it to one page.

So if I had 100 pages of C13 with 2's in the cells how do I get that to all add up on a single sheet?

Any help would own

You need to reference the cells of the sheets to do this. Are the sheets in the same workbook or separate documents on your computer? The latter is also doable (I think), but the cell reference will get ugly. If it's a separate document, my first suggestion would be to make that one document. From there it should be a little easier.

I know I just clicked the name of each sheet after I added =sum to the summary page and it auto loaded the name then you just needed to enter the cell#, and it was a breeze THANK GOOD FOR GOOGLE AND BD.com

Question

New question!

I'd rather not have to manually enter formula's line by line, and it all looks great copied over. The only problem is if my cell lets say n54 has a formula: =IF(N52<0,0,N52*0.35) that gives me 200 as the answer. when I copy and paste it just gives me the 200 not the formula so if anyone knows how to C&P and get the formula over multiple cells / rows that would be amazing!

I've tried paste special *formula's only and that doesn't work. Maybe this is something you just can't do

Although my formulas are much simpler ( =SUM(N32*B2) ), a simple copy and paste has always worked for me.

What version of Excel are you on? I am using Office 2007 on my work-provided Windows XP machine.

2007 the problem really is I have formulas over 70-200 cells over 8 sheets and I'd rather not have to go down the list manually redoing them. Which is why I asked

You're saying you're trying to copy the formula itself and not the result of the equation — right? If that is the case, then you would be best off going into the formula bar and copying the formula from there by highlighting it, then copying. By the sound of the quoted post, my best guess is that you are copying the cell, when only the cell box is highlighted. This won't work when you go to paste into a new cell; you need to actually copy the text of the formula.

Yeah... Thats the problem Brett, I need the formula's for TONS of cells and while I still need the actual number if I just have the number it won't work. Sounds like I'll have to do it line by line sheet by sheet

1st picture is right by the way but x like a bunch of cells

Have you tried dragging the formula? Basically you hover your mouse over the lower right corner of a cell until it turns into a crosshair, and then once you get that, you grab the cell and drag downward. This will copy the formula identically, cell by cell, but it will change the reference value by one for each row...if that makes sense.

I mean its all kinds of formula's and sums and just so much random tiny stuff that I wish I could copy over. like =-169097+106245-1095-8776, =SUM(H7:H89) exc. then long formula's all over the damn book

Or you can just double-click the lower right corner.

So is each sum/formula different or are they repeating in a regular pattern?

Different and all over the place. So cell n54 might be =sumXXXX*XXX

cell g25 might be =653-532+847, cell g24 might be =sum(H2:h25) exc.

But again over 200 cells x8 sheets a real pita to retype cell by cell. but at least worst case all i've got to do is dig those out rather than retype the entire book.

If everything is the same on each sheet, then you can just copy the whole sheet by clicking on the top left of the sheet above the rows and left of the columns. The formulas should be copied with the rest of the information.
