Help with Onkyo 606 and Bose

I have a friend who is looking to get into Blu and HT. He has some Bose Lifestyle 12 5.1 speakers. We are wondering if the speakers are able to go with Onkyo 606. Thank you for your help.

alot of members on this forum myself included tend to frown upon the Bose brand. But as far as it working with the Onkyo, it will work no problem. There are a lot better options out there for HT but if this is what he wants to run it will work just fine. not sure if this answers your questions..

check his speakers and make sure they are between 6 and 8 ohm...or else it might not be wise to use them.

the onkyo is capable of using 4-16 ohm speakers.... atleast according to Onkyo

There ain't no helping someone with BOSE speakers...

The first step is for them to acknowledge the source of their problem. Then, after that, it's something that can only be self-rectified.

well.... it doesnt say on the site that it's certified for 4 ohms... but our onkyo rep said it has no problems running 4 ohms but performs better above 6 ohms and will just run hot at anything less... same thing is said in a few reviews i read about it
