Default PlayStation merchandise in Europe this year

Target reveals first PlayStation deals
Plush, t-shirts, figurines and posters all on the way across UK and European territories.

Target Entertainment Group has signed the first licensing deals for a number of PlayStation software IPs.

A plush and accessory agreement for LittleBigPlanet has already been secured with Impact International for the UK, Eire and the Middle East. The deal will see the toy company produce a range of plush items, bean toys, mugs, bobbleheads and bags, all featuring the Sackboy character.

Meanwhile, Bravado has also come on board to produce men's and women's t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts for LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm, God of War and Resistance. The firm will also roll out retro bags for Motorstorm, God of War and Resistance.

Brazier and Co will be creating a line of PVC figurines for LittleBigPlanet, including a limited edition themed Sackboy.

Finally, GB Eye will develop a range of posters, 3D posters, postcard packs, badges and stickers for a variety of IPs. The deal covers the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France and Italy.

"I'm delighted to announce these deals which mark the beginning of an extensive licensing programme for PlayStation software IPs, across a number of titles," said Helen Howells, global brand director at TEG. "First phase products for LittleBigPlanet are planned to hit stores in October this year."

In the European PSN Store, do they not allow purchases with Credit Cards?

PSN Card for Europe will also make things easier for Americans trying to buy Outrun or Dark Mist in English. Looks like we'll have to wait until October 1 though...
