Why isn't there a documentary about the history of home video companies of the 1980s? Interviews with former company owners and employees. How they got started. Location scouting, "Where are they now?" trivia stuff. Footage shot from back in the day. Inside look at Vestron Video or Media, TWE, Prism Video, Lightning Video, Gorgon Video and what not. I bet there are a million interesting stories to be told.
This would be a fun nostalgic trip down memory lane.

It's not quite what you're asking for, but Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films is worth a watch for 80s aficionados.
