Hello folks
I just got a PS3 as a gift , "no games"
what games would you recommend , i like adventure and shooting.
I own xbox-360 too

Get Call of Duty 4 if you're looking for a shooter but you must play online because solo gameplay gets boring after you beat it once.

I own both systems too. The only game I have for the PS3 is Metal Gear Solid 4. It's a really good game, with 1 helluva story. Wish I could give more insight, but I really only watch Blu Rays on my PS3.

get your PS3 online, setup an PSN account (its free). Go to Playstation store and you can download almost any game demo, any genre and try it before you go buy it. Every Thursday the Playstation store is updated with new content for download. I would highly recommend Metal Gear Solid 4, It is truly amazing you will not be disappointed.

Heavenly Sword is my favorite but some complain that it's too short. It's a 3rd person game but is kind of like taking part in a movie.

It's all about Warhawk. I bought all the above mentioned games, played them for a day, went back to Warhawk.

Directly onto the PS3! On the PS3 system menu (a.k.a. XMB -> Cross Media Bar), under "Playstation Network", select "PLAYSTATION Store." It will bring you to the online interface where you have access to terabytes of content. Some free (demos, game/movie trailers, etc.) and some that you can purchase (games, game expansions, extra game content, etc.)

In particular, for demos, just select the "Demos" category on the left side of the screen and start downloading like a mo**er****er!!!
