Default Will TV Kirk & Spock ever be released on Blu-Ray?

Here's one for ya, one of the things I enjoyed about having my HD-DVD player was that I got the Re-mastered 1st season of the original TV series of Star Trek and it looks incredible. They were supposed to release all of the original TV series, re-mastered in Hi-Def then HD-DVD went under. Then, they were supposed to be released on Blu-Ray. Now that both Mr. & Mrs. Roddenberry have passed on (rest their souls) will the series every be completed in the re-mastering and will they ever be released in Blu-Ray? I bring this up since I have seen 3 complete seasons of the original re-mastered and released on DVD but not Blu-Ray.

Please & Thank You!

they only talk about DVD versions of the remastered series being released. Not Blu-Ray versions. They did state that the HD-DVD version was released but we all know that. I'm looking to find out if any other seasons will be released (to include the first season) in Hi-Def on Blu-Ray.

If I remember correctly, Toshiba was footing the bill for the remastering for the HD DVD . Not sure how far along season 2 was or if it even got finished but we all know what happened with HD DVD.

Paramount might release season 1 on BD eventually since it's already done for HiDef. Who knows. I'm sure it will come out someday.

Star Trek VI is listed as coming out in May, i think I-V are also rumored, all corresponding with the ST reboot.

yeah right now paramount is set to release the first six trek movies on BD centered around the release of Abrams Trek movie in may. Any news regarding the first three original seasons on Blu-ray is scarce. They might release them when Star Trek XI comes out to BD.

I think it's safe to say Paramount will continue to milk the TREK franchise any way imaginable. The remastered original series will eventually come to blu -- it's only a matter of time.
