Default Are the manufacturers finally getting it?

It appears they are realizing that the high prices will not fly and that they will be unable to move many units; The lower prices are going to move more units I'm sure.. and even the cost of movies is slowly going down too...

Opinions?

prices are still too high for there to be a mas adoption at the moment. hopeully there will be some killer deals around black fiday and xmas,then hopefully the prices will not go back up after xmas

At this point the economy is so bad that I don't even thing lower prices are going to help this holiday season. Even if the loan bailout gets approved, the market is going to be pretty bumpy for the next several months. Usually when the economy is slow people cocoon and buy HDTV's and BD players, but this economy is worse than that. Hope I'm wrong.
