I just bought the dual pack game of Guitar Hero 1 and 2. I plug in the receiver for the PS3 wireless guitar, it syncs up, then I pop in the game. The wireless receiver's red light turns off, the guitar light blinks trying to find a signal and nothing works. Do I really need to buy a wired PS2 controller to play GH1&2? that would make me sad. I just don't understand why I would need one if this were the case. all the buttons remain the same.

The adapter is fully functional with GH1, and only has partial uses with GH2 (can't whammy, tilt to starpower, can't hammer-on, pull-off) Really the only way to play GH1 and 2 is to keep the PS2 around, unfortunately. Last edited by jq71586; 10-04-2008 at 02:29 AM. |

From what I know, you can get GH 1 to work fine on PS3. GH 2 will not. At all, nor will 80s. The guitar code in the game is different or something, and it just won't happen. I play GH1 on my PS3 all the time, but GH2 forget it. Still got my PS2 for that. Once I'm tired of the game, the PS2 is gone too. Only reason I still have it.
