Default To those that have BlockBuster with Blurays ?

My local blockbuster has blu-rays and hd-dvds for rent, of course i participate in the total access online and i'm never without a blu-ray movie . They seem to do pretty well as far as getting new movies every now and then. both formats have about the same number of discs available.
I'd say around 50-60 each.

Anyhow, to those that rent blu-rays locally, do you notice that there are always a bunch of titles rented out for blu-rays and the hd-dvd side has at most(at least from what i've seen) 2 discs out? Is this a trend else where ?

Last Sat. was the first and only time so far to be in a Blockbuster with BD. I took note of how many they had of each and it appeared similar (~60) but didn't pay any attention to the HD DVD beyond that. Several of the BDs were out.

Blockbuster Total Access has been absolutely awesome so far. Great way to watch a bunch a BD without having to buy stuff you're really not interested in/sure about. Plus free game rental for PS3 owners.

Unfortunately, our Blockbuster is not renting any HD discs yet. I ask if they were planning on renting BD's (a few month ago) and amazingly the person didn't have a blank look on their face (as in they knew what a BD was) but they gave no commitment as to when or if they would be available.

Yeah they're definitely keeping it to bigger locations. I don't know where you live, but you may be able to call around and find one. I have 3 in my area and one carries blu-rays. I think its good this way though, that way I know all of them are in this one location and they're not being spread too thin across Blockbusters.

I live in central PA. The next closest Blockbuster is about 30 miles

Just some anecdotal good news for HD DVD...

last night it looked like there were 14 BDs rented out and only 4 HD DVDs.

I wish they'd get some new stuff in the store. I don't think they've gottten any new releases since I first went in there.

Still loving Total Access though.
