Question regarding Journey to the edge of the universe BD - Blu-ray Forum

I really want this documentary, as I love astronomy and space shots can look extraordinary on BD, but I don't like to purchase the entire Nation Geographic ultimate HD collection BD, but rather the stand-alone version of "Journey to the edge of the universe", but the reviews about the picture quality are very different, so I'd like to know if anyone knows if those are the same or completely different transfers, and if there is a way to get it as a single BD disc, but with the best transfer. Any help would be much appreciated!

I do not have either release, but I would have to speculate they are the exact same discs. I remember watching Journey in HD when it was broadcast. The picture looked okay, but there is a chance some of the CGI would not look so good.

I would really like to get Journey to the edge of the universe on Blu-ray, but the reviews of the single edition are not very promising at all. However, the review of the same title in the National Geographic Ultimate High Definition Collection Blu-ray is very good. Are they different editions or the same? The reviewers are two different people.

Does anyone own this Blu-ray (which version?), and can you tell me if the video quality is reference quality or not?
I am quite picky, at least according to some people. For example, I gave Planet Earth the complete BBC series a meager 2.5 for PQ. Baraka is 5-. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead man's chest 5.

I have NG version,while not refrence quality for the right price I would recomend this bd.I love space docs and this has replay value for me,also try The Universe multi-disk sets.Not too crazy about Alec Baldwin's narration though.

Seen it a few times on Discovery HD but never seen the BD. Images are rather stunning I am sure the BD must look quite nice
