Default Where to buy....

Hey folks, where do you all buy your blus? I just got into these and bought a couple at Best Buy which doesnt have a big selection, but prices are decent, but then I went to FYE and they had a HUGE selection, but the pricing was outrageous. What about internet sites to order from? Thanks!

Wherever i feel like going. I don't mind paying 45 bucks at best buy for a movie like Cloverfield, but if i can wait then i go on amazon to get whatever it is that i want. Ive only done that twice though...

Edit: 1000th post!

I always buy from amazon, but I've seen many people order from Tower. Is it as good as Amazon? is it as fast?

f.y.e.'s prices aren't bad at all. they generally have some good deals on new blu-rays and their used prices most of the time can't be beat. i got a lot of used blu-rays at f.y.e. for dirt cheap. i don't get all the hate that f.y.e. gets. i actually like them.

FYE where I am is expensive. Good selection, but expensive. Iron Man, 36.99 on sale for 32.99, (Wal-mart had it for $29.99) just for example. Most movies were over $35 except for some used ones.

i bought iron at f.y.e. on tuesday and it was only $29.99. but you get $7.00 dollars back from a mail in rebate so it will end up only costing $22.99.

Everywhere really. I stalk the Hot Deals forum to keep an eye out. I work right next to a Wal Mart, so whenever there is a new release that I just have to have "right now" I'll get it at Wal Mart.

Other than that, the local Movie Stop is pretty much always running a Buy 2 Get 1 or something similar on their used titles, so I stop by there and keep an eye out for good titles.

Oh, and for upcoming titles, Movie Stop is a good pre-order choice for me since they'll beat the best advertised price on pre-orders and they accept 4 DVD trade ins for 50% off a new release Blu, which is good for us with large DVD collections we want to upgrade.

For the record: Has the search function ever even remotely worked for anyone here? I've never found a damn thing doing a search on this site, so it gets really annoying when someone makes a post and everyone replies,"use the search function."

Just shop around different sites. They all have random sales. Target, walmart, frys, best buy, amazon and countless others.

Thats funny about the search thing....I did a search on DVI and it told me nothing, but I found numerous postings with DVI in them....strange....Thought I was doing something wrong...

Default Amazon or Hastings

Amazon usually has the best prices.

However, if you have old DVD you do not want or for that mater a blu ray you don't like, Hastings will buy them from you. As they will give you a store credit. Sometimes you can get blu's less expensive by doing it this way.
