Dear all,
My Blu Ray collection is fairly limited to just 5, of which only one supports BD Live which is the fantastic Batman Begins. My PS3 has the latest update but for some reason 'in movie experience' where C Nolan and others talk about aspects of the film does not work! Has anyody else had this problem or do you think it is a user error (more than likely) Many thanks |

Batman Begins isn't a BD-Live title. The "in movie experience" is a BonusView feature (PiP) not a Bd-Live (internet) one.
That aside, what do you mean by not working? Does it do anything when you try to play the BonusView track? Does it lock up, give you an error message, or just play the movie without the secondary video track? |

Thank you for the reply.
The back of the BB box states that you need a player with BD Live capability which is why i asumed it was a BD Live title. What are the benefits of BD Live and what titles currently use it? The problem is that it starts playing the film without the commentary. At first I thought that it may not be for the entire duration of the film but after watching the film from start to finish there was nothing. |

What blu-ray player are you using? Is it 1.1 or higher? If it isn't, then you're not going to be able to see the PiP.

Stupid question, but what is BD Live?

The wording on the back of the box is somewhat confusing. It sates that you need a Bonusview player OR a BD Live player. A BD Live (2.0) player, would encompass the previous specs, including BonusView (1.1).
Did you actually turn it on in the pop up menu. The disc, like every Warner title, jumps right into the film with the basic audio and no extra features playing. BD Live is just an internet connection for your player. The titles that I know utilize it right off the bat are Walk Hard and War. BD Live offers access to features that are not on the disc itself, and will also include games. Online firmware updates are also a plus of BD Live. |

I'm having problems with it too. I have a PS3 with the latest updates, which includes BD-Live capabilities. I was watching the movie perfectly fine and then i tried to activate the in-movie experience. then the movie stopped playing, and everytime i tried to start it after that the ps3 comes up with an error saying that i can't play the movie file. i tried resetting the ps3 settings and trying again. i disabled access to the internet on the ps3 and the movie started playing again. then i enabled internet access (but didn't get to start up the in-movie experience) and now i can't get the movie to start again. when i look at the disc is seems warped a bit. I can see what looks like concentric circles of "rainbow" as opposed to the only other BD that i have which looks like a normal cd/dvd disc. any thoughts?

BD Live allows your Bluray player to connect to the internet to download additional content for the film you have and keep in mind not all Blurays have bd live, it should say on the back of the case if its BD Live compatible.

I am going just a little bit off topic, but my PS3 died it won't play any blu ray, dvd, games disc. I tired everything, i called sony and they said that i will have to send it in, it is still under warranty. But my question is, I would like to hear from anyone else that had to send their ps3 into Sony, and what was involved in the process, was it quick or did it take awhile.
Thanks alot for the help. |

I'm also having a problem with the In-movie experience with the batman begins blu ray. I can't figure out how to turn off the commentary. I fired up the movie and the commentary was already on. When I went into the menu it said the in-movie experience feature was off. When I tried turning it on it just opened up the PIP. I'm using a blu ray player that came with my computer. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?
