Thumbs down Iron Man, sloppy retouching?

Since the review suggested that the print used may been pre post-processed I'm inclined to ask this. Was Paltrow's head this poorly touched up in the theatrical release?

What I'm talking about is that you'll clearly notice in some scenes that the post processing folks are trying to remove some short of skin defect over her left eye. Just look at the close up when she's talking to Oba during the data theft, a good portion of her forehead seems blown out. Heck, if you pay attention closely, you'll notice in the sequence before Tony gives his last press conference, there's clearly a brush dot moving about her forehead. Was this in the movies?

Damn, what a way to ruin a showcase disc (and movie).

Wow, it just amazes me that no matter how amazing a release is there's always people that have to find **** to complain about.

Seriously.

Overly defensive are we? Those close-up shots are clearly visible regardless of how bad your eyes may be.

Frankly if you're a re-toucher, you should know better than to completely wipe off facial texture. Then again, I guess anyone can be a Photoshop wizard these days

Gee, I didn't even notice. You want to see bad touch-up work. Check out Scarlett Johanssen in 'The Island'. Apparently it got to the point where her contract was actually revised and renegotiated shortly before filming began in order to include a clause about making sure some sort of serious facial break-out rash was removed in post-production.

P.S. Mmmmmmmmm..... beef taco.........

Yeah, she could either have the blemish exposed or a big white dot on her forehead, wouldn't make a bit of difference to me.

Seriously, I wonder if some of you have ever been able to enjoy a movie.

Yeah, it's been retouched. There are a lot of films like this- as cited, The Island is one of the worst. It's a contract item by a lot of big-name actresses. We're starting to see this more now that we're getting high def releases. I think the touch-up artists are going to have to work a little harder in the future, but it is what it is.

As to the poster who said that the PQ is bad... seriously, you have to be kidding me. You can not like the movie, you can state that the PQ fluctuates, and you could even say it's bad in spots, but to just blanket the whole thing with "it stinks"?!? You obviously just came in to troll.

Wow, your insightful comments and factual evidence have totally convinced me!

Oh wait, no they haven't. I can pull up a ton of reviews and screenshots (plus owning the disc and seeing it with my own eyes) that disagree with you. Why is the PQ bad? Do you feel the colors are off? Is it too soft? Is there too much grain for you? You've provided none of this.

In film you can not use Photoshop to re-touch some that's why its called Photoshop. You have to use Shake, Nuke Flame or any other type of composting type of program. And really If you don't know what your talking about then don't say anything. Re-touching is not as easy as 1,2,3 and one frame can hours if you good. So go back and see how much you really can see of the digital painting it more than you think, its not just re-touching someones face.
