If I buy a 1080p widescreen LCD TV it is going to be 16:9 aspect ratio. If I buy 52" I expect that FULL 52 inches to be filled with the FULL resolution of 1080p. I expect not to have to ZOOM in and settle for a less quality picture.
Like I said I want that whole display area to actually DISPLAY the movie I'm watching in 1080p resolution. If you think otherwise, you're an idiot, unless you have a projector. MOST people don't have projectors. Why couldn't the industry "format to fit this screen" for the MOST common FRICKIN aspect ratio out on the market? Just like they did for the 4:3 TVs. It's BS and something needs to be done about it. Are they prepping us to want to buy 2.35:1 TVs if they come out? WTF. |
