HDMI 1.1 question... - Blu-ray Forum

Quick question. I have an older HDMI 1.1 compliant cable and was wondering it it will pass multi ch PCM audio. If the PS3 were to decode the HD codecs, will they still pass through fully decoded? I know that 1.1 cables can't be used to bitstream the lossless codecs. I was thinking of using it to connect my PS3 since I don't have a 1080p TV and 1.1 cables only go up to 1080i.

Actually, 1.1 cables do 1080p. And yes, you can use it for lossless.
