Hello,
Hmm... do 120hz support 50hz material (such as PAL material and some BD's which are incoded at 50hz)? A lot of my films are 50hz (like PAL DVD's) but most HDTVs in the US only support 60hz material so you need a player to convert the signal which degrades the image quality. If I had the choice between a NTSC and PAL anamorphic film, I would of course choose the PAL because it is encoded at a higher resolution. Are 120hz sets able to convert the 50hz signal to 120 just like they do to 60? If not, which models in the US support both 50 and 60hz? It's kind of frustrating because all HDTV models in Europe support dual hz. |
