Default Avatar policy ?

I wish to use a movie poster of " The Big Country" that was in the Silver Screen section of the TOP NEWS recently in this webb site as my Avatar. I am sure that the poster must be copyrighted. Can I use it as an Avatar?

Basically you can use any avatar that doesn't contain any nudity, foul language, or any references to religion and politics.

It's kind of funny that religion and politics are considered as odious as nudity and foul language.

What about a naked priest holding up a "F*** Politics" sign?

People can't discuss religion or politics on the Internet without it devolving into foul name-calling and nakedness.

I had a picture of Ron Paul (just Ron Paul, nothing political in it) and it was removed.

I find this strange - so if I put up a picture of Samuel Adams, that'd be removed too- for being "political"? How about John Hancock?

It's all about smart timing, Smart. Ron Paul is running for President now. Samuel Adams and John Hancock haven't done anything relative or politically charged in at least 15-20 years.

Unless I'm mistaken, we have a mod with a sketch of Dr. Paul as his current AV. It sure looks like him, anyway. I'm okay with it, but can understand how "some" might not be.

My policy has been to stick with the original theatrical cut and double dip on the new version when it's available in 3D.
