APPX. # of titles out there?? - Blu-ray Forum

Just last night was discussing BD's and telling him how much I loved mine, etc, etc. And then he asked, "So how many Blu-Rays are there?" (he meant titles of course) and I really didn't have an answer and guessed about 1200, at least 1200 that were able to play in U.S. players (region A).

Obviously every week adds about a dozen or so to the total number, but about how right was I? Was I even in the ballpark?

I added up all the titles on this site after they were broke down by studio and got 947. Of that some titles were probably counted twice because they also list jumbo packs. I would say a good amount to tell him would be 925 titles give or take for US release.
