Is there a current list of Region-free International releases? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm wondering if there's a list of region-free international releases? If not, there should DEFINITELY be a sticky for this.

I keep finding out movies that are released internationally that are not available in the US, and that will actually play in my player (Batman Returns). There's also titles that are released internationally that have better transfers (T3, Total Recall, T2, American Psycho).

So...is there a list of such titles?

I believe there is a forum to discuss which films are region free but I often look at http://bluray.liesinc.net/ to see if it is region free.

Hmm...that site's no good...it doesn't list any of the UK releases (Highlander, Total Recall, etc)....

Edit: Found them...just had to click on "Region B"...obviously

If you wanna know if american BD's are codefree you might wanna check

They have the most comprehensive database and also are the quickest if it comes to update on new movies

What I'm finding is a two-sided issue; sure, I can use http://bluray.liesinc.net/ to find out if a title is region free (though they're not always on-the-ball...I'm still waiting for confirmation of the UK edition of HALLOWEEN II [2009]) but that's only half of my concern. Where do I then go to find out if a disc has any PAL content, which I can't play in my U.S. Playstation 3?

I have found that bluray.liesinc.net (awful domain name by the way) has pretty good information, but it is not infallible or exhaustive by any means. I know of one BD they list as Region B-locked when it is not locked at all (the Oasis BD). Checking region coding for a particular BD means digging through a hodgepodge of sites like:

Searching on eBay is also a good idea. Many times auction descriptions of an import Blu-ray will state if it is region-free or not. If I get some time I plan to write a comprehensive guide to importing for this site.
