Default Any Jeep Liberty owners out there?

I just bought a 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited and am finding the drivers seat as very uncomfortable. Anyone else? Is there any inexpensive way to fix this?

My brother-in-law has one with 130k miles on it. All I can add is that his car has been very trouble-free. I drove it once but not long enough to gauge comfort of the seat.

There are numerous companies that manufacture after-market parts for jeeps since there are so many jeep enthusiasts out there.

In addition to many things you will have no interest in, Jeep liberty replacement seats should certainly be available.....

Try these

4wd.com

quadratec.com

I mostly use them (replaced some axels, carriers, etc in my jeep)

EDIT:

and I'll second the reliability thing..... it's why I bought my wrangler (certainly not gas mileage or comfort, that's for sure!)

My sister's Liberty was not very comfortable too. There is a HUGE number of seatcovers out there for Jeeps. The links Beta Man posted are a good start.

Sell it and buy a 1997-1999 Cherokee (no, not Grand Cherokee). Mines about to get a new lift.

There is no way I can sell it, since I just bought it a week ago.

Is it possible to buy a car and after a week or so tell the dealership that it will not work out and get something else?

Might be worth a try but i wouldn't count on it, and only if you buy something else off their lot. I very much doubt though they would take it back and hand you back the cash and let you walk away. Once you sign your name it's between you and the bank for the most part.

I know the last thing you want to do is spend a ton of money but i know you might be able to find a nice set of leather ones or something on e-bay, only problem though is usually they are the same as the standard set with just a leather cover instead of fabric.

I love the XJ's...... I wanted to get the wife a Cherokee Classic (she has to have a 4 door too..... according to her!) But she won't drive anything "used" or anything that doesn't get 30 MPG ....

Maybe my next jeep.... hmmmm

THAT uncomfortable to you???? wow.... The stealership..... errr.... dealership that is.... may take it back for the same price etc (make sure they don't try to screw you on any "Fees" both times around though) if you tell them the situation AND are willing to purchase something that makes them more money instead...... I doubt you can take it back, and say "I'm looking elsewhere"...... I'd call them if nothing else..... nothing to lose

I paid $4500 for my 1998 4-door Classic about 3 years ago with the 4.0L, AW4 transmission and NP231 transfer case. It even has the optional skid plates and 8 1/4 rear end with the 29 spline axles. It has 133K (23K from me) on it and with regular maintenance and a rare part here and there it runs like a champ. As for milage....yeah, it has the aerodynamics of a brick wall. I get 15 or so.

You can get a Patriot if you want 30MPG, and it has decent 4x4 systems, but I doubt there will ever be a lift for one.
