Default Ocean Strategy PR Meltdown

This is a must read guys, I found this via VG247.com this morning.

Quote:
The donation is in response to an email back-and-forth between a customer who ordered the product and the firm’s PR representative at the time, Ocean Stratagy’s Paul Christoforo.

Apparently, the customer was wondering why he had not been informed that the device would not shipped by the promised date after pre-purchasing it, which eventually resulted in an incoherent email meltdown by Christoforo.

Things got worse after Penny Arcade and PAX co-founder Mike Krahulik became involved
Here is the e-mail back and forth that started this whole mess:

Can you imagine this guy? What a pompous a**hole. I'm glad he was fired, and to the companies credit they donated $50,000 to Child's Play. But it still makes me want to track this guy down and punch him in the balls.

The donation was the closing period on the sentence for something that mostly happened two weeks ago. The less exposure that twitwad roid-rager gets, the better.

On the flip side, the misguided mob mentality spilled onto the product which was rated down on Amazon. Despite the fact that the PR man did not work directly for the company that offers the product.

Actually he was directly representing N-Control, which is why he was taking those calls in the first place.

Sure, the item got rating-bombed by the internet mobs, but that's what happens when your PR representative is THAT bad at their job. One can only hope that any current/future clients that might want to use this schmuck in the future take a good, hard look at what happened and blacklist him permanently. I wouldn't trust him to flip burgers, let alone handle any sort of customer OR client relations.
