Default The Store with the biggest collection

Hey everyone. Which store do you usually shop at for your blu-ray needs? And I mean actual retail stores rather than online ones such as Amazon.com. Which store do you think has the biggest collection? I went to my local target last night and they had that 18ft blu-ray section which actually did not have many of the recent exciting blu releases...although it did have Grey's Anatomy, The Godfather, and There Will Be Blood (not even Iron Man BD although they brought me the copy when I asked for it). Which store has had the most "impressive" collection in your opinion?

Around here, Best Buy seems to have a bigger stock of Blu, followed by Circuit City. But the bigger the store, the bigger the selection. I don't waste too much time in stores though. They're never cheaper than online and never compare in terms of selection. Their only value for discs (outside of a huge sale) is in promotional exclusives, and occasionally you luck up and find a discontinued disc that's sold out at etail and going for 2-3x retail on eBay.

Fry's, no doubt about it. They have the best deals too.
I shop at the one on West Ave, Houston North.
Usually, though, I get my movies from online sources.

Best Buy has the biggest one in my area. Lots of titles that other stores don't carry also.

In my town Movie Stop actually beats out Best Buy. But my local store has started the opening the movie and hiding the disc from you bull crap. When I saw they had started the practice I picked out 10 movies and took them to the counter. When the clerk rung them up and went to the back to get the discs I waited until he started to put them in the cases and acted surprised. I asked him where their new movies were and told him these were open so I wanted them at the used price. When he refused, I walked out. I then wrote a nicely worded e-mail to their headquarters telling them when they decide to stop opening their new discs, I'll start buying from them again.

It would definelty have to be Fry's. Nice selection and the prices are much better than Best Buy.

omg, ive always hated that from them, even at their gamestop store, they always give me a game opened and i refuse and ask for a brand new sealed game or i wont take the game period.

i dont understand why they do this or gain by doing this ?

Well, I have been going around a lot of the stores to see what the selections are like at different stores and some stores have surprised me. I went to Fry's which had a very big display of blu-rays, almost 2 whole rows...and then Wal-Mart which was just awful. It was not even like 10 ft and it was horrible. Target had that 18ft display, but nothing extraordinary. I haven't checked Best Buy yet and want to do that soon because I'm sure they have a very impressive collection since my local BB has always been great DVD/CD wise. P.s., I live in Phoenix.

I don't know if this counts, but Walmart.com ships Blu-ray movies to your local store for free. They have over 800 movies in their inventory.

I try to get the latest & greatest at Target where I work, only because of the employee discount. The majority of my movies I get used, only if it's a good price at my local Movie Stop. When all else fails, I head to the closest Best Buy. Circuit City is plain worthless!

Up in my neck of the woods here in Toronto up in Canada I'd have to say that Best Buy has the best selection with Future Shop close behind. Problem here is the blu's are never released on the day there suppose to be unless there big titles and then a week or 2 later u'll finally see the other releases there. drives me nuts
