Default Thanks for the help, here are the pics!

This is like the first night in 2 weeks I'm not watching something on my projector!

I had mentioned before I would post some pics once I got everything set up.

Would have been nice to have a before pic. I had a mits 55" rptv, one of the older, bigger ones, with components and center stacked on top. Lots more room now.

Need to do a few things still.. hide the ugly boards and cover up the dalite base with something.. maybe some black curtains. Might also try and cover up the components with a piece of black felt like a mini curtain also.

The component rack is really not a component rack.. it is a shelf we found at ikea after none of the tv racks were the right height or had space enough to hold my amp which is taller than 6". Luckily this one was just tall enough to put the center up about as high is it could go right under the screen.

You can see this is not a dedicated ht room... you can see the utility closet and cat box with the door open! I have tried to create a dark atmosphere with dark red paint that is quite flat.

You can also see my experimental surround placement. I have them aimed at the back wall where it bounces down to behind listeners ear. We usually sit on either end of couch so it works rather well. You can see some holes where they used to be... not sure why I had had them so high for so long.. they are still a bit high. I might try and put bipoles on the back wall on either side if I think it will work like that.

I'm glad the screen worked out.. any wider or taller and it probably would have been problematic. The mains are a nice distance apart but any further would put them pretty close to the walls.

Well that's about it. The pics of screen would obviously look better if I had my tripod handy but I didn't want to get it out.

I'm definitely already thinking ahead of someday having a bigger room and a bigger screen!

Thanks again for all the help from this forum.
