Dualshock 3 not working with High Velocity Bowling? - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone else experienced this? I just traded a guy on the boards for his DS3 controller and I just tried playing a game of High Velocity Bowling with it. Everything worked fine until I had to make a swing and throw the ball. Nothing happened at all. I tried again offline and the same thing happened. The odd thing is that it works when lining up your shot, just not throwing the ball..

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I only use DS3 controllers.

Every now and then I notice the guy won't go into throw mode. What I do is hold the controller in front of me and push X and wait for it to start and I resume my throw.

I found my regular 6-axis controller yesterday and when I picked it up I thought I would crush it. Talk about a hollow piece of work.

I gave the controller a few hard knocks on my hand and it actually started working!!

So if anyone else ever has this issue with the motion control you may want to give it a try.

^ Have you considered the possibility that the reason this guy was trading his DS3 was 'cause he was having problems with the motion sensing?

might be a silly question but did you know that the DS3 controllers also have the sixaxis motion sensor as well? you would need to make it set up so that it doesnt do the sixaxis and just use the ds part of the controller

Abuse to the controller can cause the motion sensors to fail or act irregular.

I had a friend step on one of my controllers and finally got it put back together but the motion sensor on it got fried from the damage.

I hate to say it but you may want to budget replacing the controller in the future.
