shoot em up only playing on 5.1? - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone else have this problem, when the disc starts and the bluray symbol comes on the audio is in 7.1 but when the movie starts it reverts to 5.1.

I had the same problem with my PS3 (it did the same with Hairspray). I now also have a Sony BDP BX1 that is basically the same machine as yours with one difference - it bitstreams the Dolby True TH & DTS-HD - I get the 7.1 bitsteamed to my reciever. Maybe a future update will fix this problem. Good Luck!

The sony 350 I have bitsteams it also, I can get the 5.1 but not the 7.1?
