WOW! This is awesome.

Oh I see it now.

VHS. Because people had more than one VCR. I know people have more than one DVD players but VCR's recorded.

if you count the "in computer" drives.... DVD by a landslide...... (my guess at least)

People who had multiple VCRs, now have multiple DVD players

By the way..... my dad had a "VCP" Video Cassette Player...... when I was younger...

IT DID NOT RECORD .............. don't see too many of those!!! (he still has it too.)

I don't understand, you ask "what player" but in the choices I don't see players but formats.
So if you mean formats I think VHS has sold the most (so far) and it is our hope that Bluray at least enjoys the same success.

MPEG-1 encoded video (320x240) + MP3 (MPEG-1 audio layer 3) audio on CD.

It was (is?) extremely popular in India.

I don't think those should count. I mean my parents would have liked a VCR player in there computer back in the day.

Because you havent explained the question. The highest seller of what and when? Blu ray players sold for over a grand at first. Is it volume? How many people have bought film reels? Or who knows how many VCRs have sold?

I was thinking the same thing-- you're not even the OP, so I wasn't sure how that comment fit in there.

I have no idea what you are asking, (during their life, this week, the week the poll stops, this year.....) but I will make a few comments

1) film reels are not players they are like tapes or DVDs, they where also never user formats, the only people that could buy them where theatre owners and people with special connections

2) no matter what the question might be HD DVD just does not make sense as a choice in any context

3) there is nothing exciting about this poll

When I was unicelular I used to go to my photographic supplies store and buy 8mm and Super-8 film reels of movies like Creature From the Black Lagoon, Dracula, Bride of Frankentein, One Million BC and even STAR WARS (Raquel Welch and dinosaurs and Tie Fighters in full color on a giant 50" projection screen in the 70's!) just like you can buy BDs today.
