I read a few pages of the "Bitstream vs PCM" thread but I still cannot figure out which to use for my situation (I feel so dumb)
I Have a Panasonic SC-HT56 Home Theater Receiver and a Panasonic DMP-BD35 Bluray player. From what I understand the receiver does NOT decode the higher quality formats (DTS-HD and True-HD), but the blu-ray does. So should I set the blu-ray settings to Bitstream vs PCM? EXAMPLE: I was watching MAD MEN, the setting on the blu-ray was BITSTREAM, and on the receiver it said DTS. I think that is what confused me and the way the blu-ray manual stated the setting choices. ALSO, if anyone owns any of these items, ARE THERE ANY OTHER SETTINGS I SHOULD MAKE SURE TO SET A CERTAIN WAY? Last edited by PrinceAllen; 07-19-2009 at 12:21 AM. |
