I have to go outta town the weekend of the VGA's and I don't have DVR. Do you know if they show replays? I watched it live last year, so I don't remember.

If I remember right you can view it from the website.

I can't wait to see all of the new stuff that will be coming out. Best part of the show is the secret stuff that shows up.

Ya but than Jack Black had to ruin it by being the host. His whole sex with consoles thing was disturbing to say the least.

Best Game: MW2
Best Action Game: MW2
Best RTS: MW2
Best RPG: MW2 intro (playing a terrorist)
Best Racing game: MW2 (vehicule segment)
Best Score: MW2
Best puzzle game: MW2 (which part of the body to shoot at for maximum effect)
Best Survival Horror: MW2 (surviving the horror of war)
Best FPS: .. guess?

I never get how they nominate these games so fast...

somehow L4D2, MW2 and some other games that came out last month got nominated somehow. They should have a time frame that they have a deadline for these things. If they say something like "only games must be released before oct. or your game(s) wont be eligable for the panel to decide if its nominated or not."

I haven't gotten alot of games this year (mostly playing Beatles and Grand theft auto IV (I know last year)), and I still didn't go get Modern Warfare 2 yet. Anyone comfort me

MW2 doesn't deserve to win anything.

I'm convinced these are just hype awards more than actual substantive awards for game quality.

Truthfully, these awards should be given out early in the new year--like the Oscars, for instance. But the Spike award show is such a vehicle for shameless promotion (not just for games, but it seems like every presenter gets to plug his/her new movie, etc.) that it only makes sense to schedule it firmly within the holiday shopping season.
