PS3 Music Issues

Good day,

Hope someone can help me out. I have a wireless router from my computer to the PS3. I can see the audio files on my PS3 but can not play back the music. No sound. If I use th few songs that are on the PS3 hard drive I can get music. I don't know what happening.

i'm assuming you mean the music from the RMC streamed from your PC?
and if your WiFi signal is not good enough, it is just buffering for too long and then the PS3 memory is tossing out hte stuff it should have played, and then trying to buffer that again... and again.

try to see if yuor videos work trough the RMC. if your videos work, then you have some serious issues. if your video doesn't play either. then you more than likely have bandwith/WiFi signal strength issues.

It's a wireless N router... I had the music going the other week and now I don't. Not sure what I did. Video isn't working either.

I have quite the opposite. I have 3 external hard drives, the PS3 sees all 3, but only lets me access the videos on them. They are loaded with mp3s but it doesn't let me access those. Anyone have a guess as to what thats all about?

Make sure you are in Music then go to your Hard Drive and Display All.

Are you able to copy them from your PC to your PS3? Click triangle button and go to copy.

Try it with one song. Then play it on the PS3

If you can hear the file OK with no issues on the PS3 then you know its an issue with your network

All the hard drives are shared via WMP. When I am in the music section on the PS3 I do a show all and it tells me nothing is found. This issue persists on all my 60GB PS3's. Video comes through/browse hard drives for video with no issues at all. Something is aloof with music and showing me anything.

my 60gb works fine, are you seeing it under both video and music and are you trying to view them only under music?

I am in the music section and I try all the different sorting options and I see nothing. As a side note on the music external hard drive there are 2 videos and when I am in the video section I see those
