Default Lost Seasons 1 & 2

I realize this has been discussed before, so I'm sorry if I am bringing up a dead subject, but Is there any new info on Lost Seasons 1 & 2 coming to Blu-ray? Or, does anyone have a good guess on when we might see them? The reason I ask is that I found a great deal on Season 3, but haven't seen Season 2 yet so if the consensus is that it's going to be out by the end of the year i'll bite. But if not, i'll wait..

Thanks for the help..

Go ahead and pick up season 3 on Blu using this "great deal" of yours. Don't watch and until after the season 2 blu-ray is released. It's pretty simple really.

You can bring it up as much as you like, I am beyond pissed that Disney hasn't even announced dates yet for release dates on season 1 & 2.

When I watched that for the first time, I would have watched those episodes on a two inch screen just to see what happened. Just watch season 2 on DVD and then watch season 3 on blur-ray and then re-watch season 2 when it comes out.

I have just finished Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, and just started watching Season 3 on Blu-ray. To be honest, the video quality of Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD is already amazing. My first impression of Season 3 on BD is that the PQ improvement is very minimal. Sound quality is also about the same. My advice to you is to go ahead and buy the first two seasons on DVD. Don't bother waiting for the BD. The improvement is not going to be worthwhile.

What size display are you sporting? Because I have watched the show on my 61" 1080P DLP and the difference between even broadcast 720P on ABC HD and S3 on BD is astounding, i.e. BD is far more detailed and the colorspace contrast is no comparison, not to mention the difference between PCM 5.1 and DD...broadcast is smoked in every way. If you are watching the show on a smaller display then your comments may ring more true. I don't own the first two seasons on SDVD, but I think I am content to wait until an eventual BD release of both.

No I have yet to see Seasons 2 or 3. I've seen Season 1, but would definitely re-watch on Blu. I think i'll wait a little longer to see if 1 & 2 get announced on Blu, and if they don't i'll go ahead and watch them on DVD..

I beg to differ but the difference is huge! But then again it depends on your TV size as well. I am not saying that dvd don't have amazing quality but the blu version is just a masterpiece

Have the dvd's of s1&2 + the BD of s3, there is no comparison, the bd wins by a mile.

I would glady rebuy s1 & s2 on bd when they come out.

I will gladly buy the entire series when it all comes out on blu in a few years. I think that's what I'm saving my money for... that will be a must buy for people who don't already own the seasons on blu...

What kind of a TV and BD/DVD player do you have. Something is wrong if you think the improvement is minimal. Its GIGANTIC! Get your system looked at. Make sure its all set to 1080p or something dude.

Sorry to raise a dead thread, but is there any news now for the first two seasons of Lost? I've been watching the news here, but haven't seen anything.

I know it will be a hard wait, but for me, im just gonna wait till the boxset comes out--its about 2-3 years away considering the series is ending in less than 2 years.
