I highly recommend everyone go see the movie Milk. It is critically important to understand the history of the struggle for homosexual rights in America, and like the movie Malcolm X for African American civil rights, Milk tells the story of one of the most important figures to the gay rights movement. Even if you don't agree with the subject matter, this movie will inspire and give you hope for a better world.

I REALLY liked this movie... It was definitely one of the BEST movies of 2008. And is my pick for best film and best actor. I would give it best supporting actor for either emile or james franco but I want heath to get that. And Nolan to get best director or Gus would have it...

But I agree! See it, it's a REALLY good movie. And it's all true.

I am open minded. I can go, watch and even enjoy a gay movie. Especially if there are two chicks making out in the movie.
So is that the case here ? I have time cause this movie comes in March over here but still I'd like to know.

This is not a "gay movie" just as Malcom X is not a "black movie." From your comment about the "two chicks," I would say definetely go see this movie. It seems you probably need to hear the story moreso than others.

I want to see this movie. But I hate the theaters... Last time I went, I knocked some jack ass on the floor because he was on the phone... Every started to clap! I will probably just blind buy it.

definitely NO girls making out. There's a man on man sex scene... But if you know the director you know it's pretty tame. The story is more focused on what happened, but Harvey was a real person and they did their best to show who he was...

Looks like an excellent movie. Too bad it wasn't playing anywhere near where I live, I would've driven farther to see it. Definitely a rental!
