Need help with music used in movie trailer.

Hope someone can help me identify the music that was used in the trailer for the film Stanly and Iris (1990). Specifically the section that starts 50 seconds in. It's been bothering for 30 years. It sounds like Thomas Newman but I've checked on his scores up to that point. And no, it is not the films composer John Williams. Thanks.
