Default Viewing the PS Eye through your PC?

I could have sword that about 6 months ago I read a thread (maybe not even on these forums) about how to have your PS3 turned on with your PS Eye hooked up, and then you could view whatever it was seeing from your PC. So you could have, like, a "security camera" on a room of your house that you could view from work or whatever...

Am I insane, or does anyone know how to do this? I recently got a PS Eye, so I was just curious...

Thanks!...

i can do this while using my psp via remote play, not sure about a pc being able to do this though. all you do is start the ps3 from the psp via remote play, then select video chat and whatever the camera is looking at you see on the psp.....pretty cool, but i am pretty suire that will not work with the pc

You can also do that with the PSP if you have Aquatopia

Now that you mention that, I think wherever I read it mentioned that you should have Aquatopia on (maybe as a "cover-up" or something). I've googled all over, but can't find it though.

lol, as a coverup. You could just as well have your tv off and use electrical tape to cover up the lights on the camera... I did that for the insanely bright blue light and it worked like a charm.. just a small square piece of black tape and you don't even know its there unless you pick it up and analyze it. I spy on the wife n kid while im poopin' - to make sure the wife doesn't steal a swig of my brew and to make sure the kid is still doing her homework

It only works with the PSP.. no PC to PSEye ... yet?
