lol??? see Die Another Day and Tomorrow Never Dies? Two of the worst Bond movies???

Don't get me wrong, I thought even these movies have some good scenes (I liked the swordfight and the cars on ice and the madonna intro and the hovercraft scene in DAD and the motorcycle chase in TND). But they don't compare in the slightest to the new Bond, however he departs from the cheesy Bond movie traditions.

I think it is a little harsh to say Daniel Craig is the worst Bond ever. To say that would mean you haven't seen a lot of Bond movies because everyone knows that honor belongs to Timothy Dalton. Craig is one of the best Bonds and is pushing Sean C. as one of the best.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to QoS.

QOS sucked period. For a start the action is a complete rip off of the Bourne movies which is sad cause Bond once the trend setter now has become a cheap carbon copy of another action film franchise. Essentially making this movie a Bourne film in the Bond universe.

You wonder a lot in the movie if Bond is more of a hitman than a real secret agent as he manages to kill every lead he comes into contact with. A running theme than becomes so boring and predictable you almost want to laugh how uninspired it is. Bond jet's off somewhere kills a guy jet's off again and again and again.

At least keeping the movie in one location for 15 mins might have helped. But no Bond has to fly off and kill another random get's a few swears down the phone from big bad Judi Dench and has his credit cards canceled.

You wait years to finally see the Timothy Dalton vision resurrected and you get severed this. Looks like where going to have Roger Moore for the 2010's like we had Pierce Brosnan the Roger Moore for the 90's.

damnit!! this is not good, i was really looking forward to this new movie. his first was pretty good, and i was expecting this to be just as good with more action

no wonder he was talking about retiring from bond so soon. he said if QOS doesn't do that well then it might be his last bond film

First off for people saying it sucks cause he doesnt have any gadgets, well duh it continues the same story from Casino Royale. So of course in the period of time when Casino Royale ends to the start of this one hes not magically going to have gadgets.

Also people must have forgot that this is Bonds very first mission as a 00 so ideally the newly promoted Bond as a person is not going to be the clever smart remarking Bond we have all come to know but he will soon evovle into it. Plus the 2 newest Bond movies are not continuations in Bonds life like all the other ones have been, they are more like prequels so to say...so keep that in mind when seeing this movie.

Think of it this way, Didn't we all have to crawl first to walk? Its an evolution period people!

Bond was a double 0 in Casino Royale. Fair enough you can make some excuses for the fact he is maybe not much of a professional in QOS. But you can't excuse the action which even to the most untrained eye is an unashamed rip off of Bourne.

We've had Quantum Of Solace in the UK now for just over a week. It is one of darkest, most intelligent action thrillers of the year. It's economic plotting, deep complex characterisations and masses of subtext and smart juxtaposition are causing problems with it being accepted by those who like their Bond movies straight forward and simple

Unless all you want in a Bond movie are Q, invisible cars, awful puns, mad villains stroking white cats and all the other cliches which had their nadir in the Brosnan films, you should really enjoy QoS.

You should watch Casino Royale beforehand as it is a direct sequel to that film as QoS assumes you know about what happened to Vesper and Mr White etc. at the end of the film

Where was this exactly? Bond was a thug who just killed every lead. Judi Dench just gave off a couple of swears and that supposed Bond girl Olga Kurylenko appears occasionally then all of sudden we get a back story which was weak on emotion given the subject matter.

I think we will just pretend the word intelligent was not used ether. Given as i have said many times now how much of a rip off the action was.

Unless all you want in a Bond movie are Q, invisible cars, awful puns, mad villains stroking white cats and all the other cliches which had their nadir in the Brosnan films, you should really enjoy QoS.

The whole film is an exploration of loss and revenge. After a few thuggish killings early on in the film, Bond has a deep emotional reaction to the deaths of two characters in the middle of the film (not naming them so as to keep this spoiler-free). In one of them, the pain of the loss is clearly evident in Bond's expressions and actions. In the second his own culpability in the death visibily distresses him, and in additin it very smartly mirrors the sequence in Casino Royale where he discovers Solange's dead body and where his reaction there is 'thuggish'. The intervening loss of Vesper has changed his outlook on life.
The juxtaposition of Bond's emotional journey to that of Camille's, where Camille gets her vengance, but where Bond, driven by duty, gets his solace without the revenge is beautifully played.
