The only Blu-ray of mine that will never be opened is my extra copy of The Exorcist but that is a digibook; I know. Other than that, I open all of mine.

I use to have them all sealed, but realized it's a waste so now I open them all

most of them are. I unwrapped Avatar, Minority Report, and Wolfman. I covet the rest of them like bricks of gold. Don't know why.

I always open my steelbooks. But I always handle them with care (just as I would any other BD package or anything of value to me).

Since I collect them for my own use/enjoyment without plans to sell them, I don't see much point in keeping them sealed to never be opened. I would be too curious as to what the inside looks like. Also would need to know if there's any damage or defect to the contents inside. It's not as if I open these cases frequently though. In most cases, I do have the standard package version as well.

I have the same approach for my ultimate collectors editions too.

I'm the same BluPix - keeping them sealed is a waste.

I usually buy 2. One to open and one that stays sealed.

If I don't own the Amaray version then I tend to open them right away but others look "sexier" sealed for some reason Like District 9 or Rambo

Then again one day I may decide to go nuts and open all of them. Who knows

why not open them? I buy them to watch not to let them on a shelf and just look.

I open all my steelbooks even the "rare" editions. I want to see the film and don't want to buy a second copy that is a waste of money.

And another reason is to see if the film actualy will work/play. I bought 240+ blu-rays and 5 films had a problem or didn't play at all.

I used to keep them sealed and then buy the amaray. Now though that steelies are basically worth nothing more than what you pay for them I just open them and skip buying an amaray.

I don't open my steelbooks, I rent the movies through Netflix, and most movies I don't want to see more than once especially the movies that came out this year, very disappointed in the Summer movies this year, Inception would be worth buying, but that was it.

The only steelbooks I don't plan on opening would be my disney, IRM2 and IRM1+2, other than that they all get opened but more than likely not watched especially if I already have the regular blu.
